I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
